Our Story
It all started back in college. I had an infatuation with anything that got my heart racing and blood pumping, especially motorcycles. One time while hanging out in my dorm room my friend picked up my motorcycle helmet and someone noticed one of the stickers on it which read "Do Not Remove Until X-Ray." They asked me why in the world I would choose to do something that could so easily hurt or kill me to which I replied, "Live Legendary, Die Epic." Everyone laughed it off but that night I decided to put that phrase onto a t-shirt.
For years, even though I had the occasional request for one, I only made the shirts for myself until one summer night out at the Jersey shore. I was with a bunch of my friends, most of whom were women, when I noticed a group of really big, really scary looking guys pointing towards me. I tried to just shrug it off and ignore them but then the biggest, scariest one started walking towards me. Now I had to make a choice, run away like a coward or stand my ground and get my ass kicked like a man. I chose to chug my drink and stay. My heart was pounding out of my chest and as he took his final steps toward me I balled my hands into fists ready to go down swinging.
Then it happened, as his massive fist moved towards me I saw his "I should've killed you yesterday" bicep tattoo and just shut my eyes hoping he'd make it quick. I waited and waited for the impact but it never came. Upon opening my eyes I noticed he was pointing at my shirt. He loved it and wanted to know where I got it from.
We talked for a bit and I told him about how the shirt was my personal ethos and he told me about how he is a stunt double for the Rock (as in Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson). He also said to let him know if I ever start selling them because he wanted to be the first in line.
